About the Artist

I knew at a very young age that art would be an essential part of my life’s journey. I received my first degree from The Academy of Fine Arts at Baghdad University. Later, after moving to the United States, I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois, where I also became a licensed interior designer (NCIDQ).

Although classically trained, my approach to each piece is rooted in symbolic storytelling. I draw upon the five elements — fire, wood, earth, metal, and water — as well as the natural world of plants, animals, and people. The human condition, emotions, thoughts, and everyday encounters all become part of the narrative within my work.

With experience in a wide range of styles and techniques, I welcome the challenge of commissions. Whether it’s portraiture, illustration for a book, a storyboard for a screenplay, or architectural drawings for a home, I approach each project with intention, curiosity, and care.

I am inspired by the process of connecting the dots — where words, images, and color become my palette. My intention is always to create a visual piece that speaks to the heart and touches the soul.
