This is the 2nd sketch from the poem series Paragraph #1 that is written by Sabah Yacoub, who needed for artwork that reflect the ideas, feelings, and concepts in his poem. As I read his poem.
poem name Bobble Braids - Paragraph #1
“On the church, a cross is shining like a ray in between mosques, blessing displaying people from both sides gathering together. The crescent hails the cross forever.”
The flood of images these few lines inspired in me; of the Church, the cross and the mosques, the crescents, the display of people from both sides gathering, and how the crescents salute, cheer, and greet the cross forever are deeply ingrained in my psyche to sketch and hope to paint one day. A flood of joy and happiness consume me, and I realize how lucky I am to have this heavenly feeling.
Mr. Yacoub wants the artwork to be simple, symbolic and in a sketchy style. I jump at this opportunity, and I was inspired by his description in paragraph #1 of his poem that he sent me.
