About Sue Turayhi
Art has been a vital part of my life from an early age, guiding me through adventures, challenges, and struggles. My passion for connecting words, images, and color led me to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad and later to earn a Bachelor of Art in Design from the University of Illinois. This journey has allowed me to create authentic, soulful art that resonates with everyday life. I believe in the power of art, writing, and speaking to forge deep emotional connections with the audience.
I’ve explored various styles and techniques using different materials, including oil, acrylic, ink, pastel, watercolor, and mixed media. I participate in both collective and solo art exhibitions. Whether it’s portraiture, abstract, illustrations, or architectural designs, my work is driven by the inspiration to translate stories into visual art that touches the soul. I’m always open to new challenges, and I never fail to embrace the power of imagination.
