Motherhoods - Oil & Acrylic 30"x24"

My children taught me so much about life and seeing the world through their eyes. It makes me humble and in awe of what it means to be a mother.

In this painting, I chose a red background because in Japan, red is a traditional color for a heroic figure. For them, red denotes strength, passion and self-sacrifice per Ardak Kassenova. The white fabric that wraps around the mother and the child represents the deep emotional bond between them. The dove in this painting is commonly known as a symbol of motherhood, devotion, purity and peace.

This composition celebrates the essence of motherhood—nature’s embrace, the protective strength of the dove, and the timeless beauty of a rose unfolding.
