Spot, Stop & Swap - Acrylic 30x24

This painting is inspired by a simple message, yet it is powerful. Jay Shetty, in his book “Think Like a Monk” said that after spotting and stopping the negativity in our hearts, minds and speech, we may than begin to amend and heal our mind.

In 2021, I was inspired and determined to transfer these words, “Spot, Stop & Swap”, into a painting. Although it took me 4 months to get the courage to start the painting. I started the painting by just simply writing the three words on my canvas (“Spot, Stop & Swap”) and the rest is controlled by my feelings and emotion toward the subject matter. My love to tell the story by connecting the dots between words, images, and colors.

In the painting the pink dote are connected by lines to represent the Brain wave energy that is fired up with positive ways of thinking, Pink is a calming color associated with love and kindness and is playful; where red is for energy, danger and passion. Purple is for luxury, mystery, and spirituality. The spot in this painting represents all letters; the different color and number where the word stops is simply represented by the stop sign and swap is represented by the pink color.
