In this painting, I explored friendship as a quiet conversation—one shaped by time, light, and presence. Inspired by photographs of our shadows—mine, my friend’s, and our husbands’—I captured reflections at different moments throughout the day, when the sun created a warm glow and long, stretched silhouettes.
Some shadows remain dark and mysterious, while others appear in color, expressing warmth and emotional connection. The green figure was inspired by a moment around 4 p.m., when the sunlight transformed our shadows into something unforgettable.
Together, these layered forms become a dialogue between memory and movements showing how friendship shifts with time yet always stays beside us.
