The theme is the Child Mind & the painting’s name is the Seven Candles
The painting isbased on a drawing by a 6-year-old child (my daughter Yasmeen) who drew a women's face during a routine childhood art activity a long time ago. I loved her imagination and the face structure so much that I needed to create a piece of art that incorporates her face drawing.
Seven is a magical number, and you will see it repeated in this painting in a variety of ways. The face has 7 openings (2 eyes, two nostrils, two ears and one mouth). The background rainbow is based on Isaac Newton who identified the 7 colors of the rainbow-red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. The writing represents the letter seven in every language. The upper left corner represents the seven evil eyes in Arabic tradition and the lower right corner is the 7 Chakras according to Hinduism.
Seven is a magical number that I personally associate with since childhood. I am one of 7 sisters and I consider myself a lucky person. If I needed a party, I had seven of us to dance with, if I needed comfort, I had my sisters to lean on.
If you love the number seven, share your story, I would love to hear from you
